I really enjoyed this book. The inciting incident is delivered in such an interesting way that it doesn't matter that you know what it is going in, it doesn't lessen the surprise. The format of the book really leans into the story, and the deliberately paces the book out to provoke maximum impact. The characters are seriously flawed which makes them compelling, and the ending was... I can't really say anything without giving everything away.
I recommend you pick up a copy of this book; it really is a gem.
